Application: Exploration of the harm reduction effects of methadone treatment in Hong Kong

Applicant: Stanley Ho Centre for Emerging Infectious Diseases, The Chinese University of Hong Kong
Objectives: The objectives of this project are:
  1. To determine the HIV incidence in the methadone users’ cohort
  2. To explore the utilization and connectivity patterns of methadone users
  3. To characterise harm reduction intensity delivered through the methadone clinics, in spatial, social network and temporal perspectives; and
  4. To explore the association between harm reduction intensity and HIV incidence among methadone users in Hong Kong.
