Application: Sexualized drug use among men who have sex with men in Hong Kong: A mixed-methods study of causes for engagement and effects on psychological and sexual health
Applicant: The Chinese University of Hong Kong
Objectives: The objectives of this project are:
  1. To examine the prevalence and pattern of sexualised drug use among men who have sex with men (MSM) in Hong Kong and assess their intention to use drugs before/during sex in the next 12 months;
  2. To study the effects of sociodemographic, psychosocial, cultural, and sexual characteristics on sexualised drug use behaviour and intention among MSM;
  3. To understand the potential impact of engaging in sexualised drug use on sexual health and psychological well-being among MSM.
  4. To investigate what local services are available for MSM engaging in sexualised drug use and what service development is needed.
