Application: Re-examining the cost-effectiveness of annual latent TB infection retesting for reducing the risk of TB reactivation among HIV diagnosed patients in the HAART era in Hong Kong

Applicant: The Chinese University of Hong Kong
Objectives: The objectives of this project are:
  1. describing TB reactivation rate and LTBI detection rate in diagnosed HIV patients, stratified by age groups, CD4 level, DM status, locality, and treatment status;
  2. projecting the impact of regular retesting on TB reactivation epidemiology in HIV-infected patients after immediate treatment initiation implementation through system dynamics modelling;
  3. analysing the cost-effectiveness of regular LTBI retesting based on the findings in Objective 2
