Application: The implications of CYP2B6 genotype in long term efavirenz treatment

Applicant: Stanley Ho Centre for Emerging Infectious Diseases, The Chinese University of Hong Kong
Objectives: The objectives of this programme are:-
  1. to determine the plasma EFV level of patients on long term antiretroviral therapy;
  2. to compare the plasma level of EFV in patients on initiation of antiretroviral therapy and 2 years after treatment; and
  3. to assess the impacts of host CYP2B6-516 genotype on plasma EFV levels at 2 years after therapy.
