Application: "Translating recommendations and findings into effective actions – maintaining Hong Kong's low HIV prevalence"

Applicant: Hong Kong AIDS Foundation
Objectives: The aims of this programme are:-
  1. To expand the services to people with high risk behaviours and suspicion about HIV infection, encouraging them to do early testing and conductive to effective prevention, care and control of HIV/AIDS;
  2. To empower PLHIV and help them to maintain safer sex practice through care and support, involving them in the fight against HIV/AIDS and education, enhancing the quality of their lives, achieving secondary prevention and fostering the development of a caring and supportive environment for them;
  3. To curb the spread of HIV among the MSM and TG populations through the implementation of a programme on HIV prevention and sexual health for the target groups; the promotion of safer sex practice among them; and the empowerment of the targeted populations and their working together for HIV prevention;
  4. To strengthen and improve HIV prevention among cross-border travellers, specifically Men having sex with Men (MSM) and clients of female sex workers (CFSW), from Hong Kong to neighbouring cities like Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Macau through collaboration with counterparts in the mainland
