Application: Identifying sexual health behaviours and HIV risk amongst African refugees and asylum seekers in Hong Kong

Applicant: Department of Family Medicine & Primary Care The University of Hong Kong
Objectives: The aims of this programme are:-
  1. to examine current sexual health practices, how sexual health knowledge is obtained, and possible high risk behaviours such sexual risks, use of drugs and alcohol which may facilitate the spread of HIV;
  2. to understand the process by which some of RAS get involved in sex work and associated work patterns;
  3. to seek opinions from RAS on the enablers and barriers to the implementation of HIV and related HIV prevention programme; and,
  4. to develop recommendations for strategies to promote sexual health literacy and safe sex health practice amongst RAS to prevent HIV infection.
