Applicant: The Boys’ and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong
Objectives: The aims of this programme are:-
  1. to provide early intervention and promote sustainable behavioural change for HIV/AIDS prevention among young MSM through intensive community based, peer-led multi-level early intervention;
  2. to provide a diverse and youth centred mode of service delivery, including safer sex workshops, peer education, peer support network and intensive case counselling in preventing HIV/AIDS;
  3. to raise the HIV/STI knowledge of the participants;
  4. to understand the risk limits and personal boundary among the participants so as to clarify the misconception on participants’ perceived risk level in regards to various sexual activities and to increase their negotiation skills with sexual partners in relation to condom use;
  5. to master the negotiation skills regarding condom use among the participants for HIV prevention;
  6. to empower and mobilise young MSM to take charge in the HIV prevention campaign;
  7. to develop a new initiative, i.e., safer sex workshop, that truly meet the need of MSM;
  8. to mobilise teachers, social workers and MSM parents in the HIV prevention campaign;
  9. to provide VCT in the non-covered areas.
