Application: Gay men in private sex party in Hong Kong: understanding the culture and HIV risk
Applicant: Stanley Ho Centre for Emerging Infectious Disease,
The Chinese University of Hong Kong
Objectives: The objectives of this programme are:-
  1. to describe the culture of private sex parties among gay/bisexual men in Hong Kong.
  2. to characterize the party goers, their psychosocial profile, sexual and behavioral pattern, HIV risk perception, access to HIV prevention and health seeking pattern.
  3. to assess the HIV risk of these private sex parties and suggest implications for effective HIV prevention.
