Application: Understanding drug use and its associated risk for HIV infection among MSM in Hong Kong
Applicant: Department of Sociology, The University of Hong Kong
Objectives: The objectives of this programme are:-
  1. to understand the overall drug patterns among the MSM population:
    • Their attitude/knowledge/practices with various drugs.
    • The underlying social factors and cultural contexts associated with their drug use patterns.
  2. to understand risky sexual practices in the MSM population:
    • Their attitude/knowledge/practices of risks associated with different sexual activities.
    • The underlying social factors and cultural contexts associated with various sexual practices.
  3. to understand the relationship between drug use and risky sexual practices, mediated by different social settings and sexual networks among MSM in Hong Kong.
